  1. I was on a cruise ship recently which stopped in port of Koper, Slovenia. I went on several tours and shore excursions. I must say that Slovenia really is a hidden treasure. People are very kind. A vacation to remember! I used Koper Tours services for my tours and shore excursions. http://kopertours.com/

  2. Going interrailing with my boyfriend over summer and we were doubtful about Slovenia but I have now forced him to reconsider! Looks insane x

  3. Had to laugh..I always turn the wrong way out of train stations too. Great post! I’m going there in August so I have high expectations now.

    1. I think its a easy way of exploring the lesser walked paths of a city! 😉 ha. But you will love it! If you haven’t booked a hostel in Ljubljana yet, I reccomend Sax Hostel. It was a great place! 🙂

  4. Always, always smile and say hi. Not that I have had anyone stop and talk like that. We did have some Japanese girls walk us to the restaurant we were looking for, because I turned the wrong way and the map did not have street names. All good and made friends.

    Nice post.

  5. That was so nice of that biker you flagged down to actually show you the way! I love kind gestures like that and it helps ease some of my apprehension about interacting with locals while travelling. I’m going to borrow your trick of saying “hi” to everyone I encounter!
